Research Methodology
Restricted Driving Co. uses a documented, state-by-state research process before publishing legal-adjacent product content or substantive resources.
Primary-source preference
We prioritize current material from state licensing agencies, departments of transportation or public safety, legislatures, courts, administrative rules and official forms. Secondary sources may help identify questions, but they do not replace primary-source verification.
State-specific review
Terminology and requirements are reviewed independently for each state. Texas conclusions are not copied into another state. Research records include source links, review dates, open questions and the product or resource revision date.
Human publishing gate
Automated checks can identify missing sources, dates, routes and metadata. A human makes the final publishing decision. Content that lacks approved research or meaningful state-specific value remains outside search indexing.
Limits
Our explanations support organization and general understanding. They are not legal advice and do not determine whether a person may drive. Current official requirements and instructions from the appropriate authority control.
Corrections
If an official source changes or a reader identifies a possible error, we review the source before revising the content. See the corrections policy for the reporting process.
